Laughter..

It comes in fits,
It slogs out solo.
It gets loud,
And you can make out when its hollow.

Hands reach out to hide it,
Hands clap to accompany,
You bend back to welcome it,
And purse your lips when there’s no company.

Eyes dance to the tune of it,
And wells when it’s a good one
The tummy aches till you stop
And gasp, ‘ God I’m done!”

Medicine that tickles your body,
Comes without thinking to whom,
You realize it when people turn around,
At the flourish of your ha ha hu hu !!

Eyes..

They speak the speechless language
When nothing’s left undone,
When the heart has a song
That to the world remains unsung.

They shatter the screaming silence
A flicker, a glance, a wink,
When among those million faces
You search for a pair to link.

They rest to give way to dreams
Of sunlit friendships and golden beams,
To wake you up with a tingling feeling
Or, may be the neighbours with your screams.

So quiet yet so talkative
So calm yet so racy,
So gentle yet it bores through
When the hour makes you go crazy.

Droopy when the day’s done,
They dance on Friday night’s peak,
When on the dance floor with,
Lashes they play hide and seek
